Elestial Sound present ‘WHERE TIME MEETS SPACE’ by Berlin-based dancer-choreographer Mila Chiral.

Having studied dance and classical music as a child, Chiral connected strongly with electronic music innovators in Germany when she began writing her own choreographies for performances in 1995 including ‘BrainScan’, a five year project with techno producer Bernhard Bockelbrink. 

Chiral’s current collaborations include ‘Meetup’, a series of monthly events organized by a growing community of female-identified and transgender artists, and ‘minutektiv’, a regular project that encourages composers to publish one minute tracks in one hour. 

Chiral’s debut ‘WHERE TIME MEETS SPACE’ draws from her interest in philosophy and experience as a choreographer. Throughout this unique and richly creative album vibrant timbres and swooning synths ebb and scatter around the listener like a dancer recording movements in time.

"All About The Kick" is the title of the latest compilation, putting the 
focus on the rhythmic frequencies in the low Hz range. It's mainly fast, 
driving and forward. If there is a melody, then it is a harmonious 
accompaniment. All proceeds go to solidarity initiatives that work for 
refugees, women's* rights and LGBTQI people on the move.

Just as important as the musical composition, the songs are curated by 
Lisa tba and Thomas Liebkose is the balance of gender relations. In a 
techno scene still dominated by white cis-males, Kabelkiste tries to set 
a sign here, and also to offer a platform to newcomers. Thus, 7 artists 
gather on the now already 9th (10th?) compilation of Kabelkiste, who 
bring their kick to hammer with their tracks together against unjust 
conditions.

All songs are produced by: Nait Saves, MaRaven, Maura Lombardo, Lisa 
tba, Kabel Trace, Mila Chiral und Thomas Liebkose. Which we will 
introduce to you in further posts in the coming days. Stay tuned and 
share this post. Here's to getting a lot of donations together, and 
making a small contribution to support the work of care-workers and 
front-activists with music outside the mainstream.
